Welcome to The Sandpiper Studio, the classroom and workspace of artist and tutor Julie Mclean BA(HONS)

 We provide art tuition for all abilities in daytime classes during school term times. Julie designs projects in a variety of media that are suitable for beginners or more advanced students. 

Julie is also running some beginners workshops on Saturdays covering Watercolour, Acrylic and Sketching Media. More information will be on the website shortly.

Outdoor Sketching Days

In 2025 we will be organising some outdoor sketching days, Julie will be taking small groups to a variety of locations in the Wirral and Chester area. There will be plenty of demonstrations to help you build confidence when drawing and painting 'en plein air.' Julie will use a variety of media including pen and watercolour wash, graphite and watercolour pencil or students can use their own choice of media.

 

  

Gift Vouchers

The Sandpiper Studio Gift Vouchers are available for art classes or workshops with Julie or visiting artists. They come in the form of a greeting card or E Voucher and make an ideal birthday or Christmas gift for beginners or more experienced artists. They can be purchased for any amount.
